We are ready to announce the winner of the Repose Stargazer Chair Competition from our competition in June. The winner is (drum roll) The Ryegate Children’s Centre! A huge thank you to everyone who entered their wonderful suggestions for hospices, hospitals, care homes, etc.
Who Are The Ryegate Children’s Centre?
Based in Sheffield, Ryegate Children’s Centre provides overnight and short breaks for children and young people with complex neuro-disabilities. Additionally, Ryegate cares for children with multiple and profound physical and learning disabilities and life-limiting conditions.
Ryegate Children’s Centre provide a home-from-home environment where a personalised approach is taken for the needs of each child or young person.
Referrals To Ryegate
Ryegate welcomes referrals from families, nursing staff, social workers, medical staff or any other professional that works with children. However, before making a referral you must have obtained consent from the child or young person and their main carer.
Once a referral is received by the CCG they will advise the team at Ryegate. Ryegate will then contact the family to arrange an assessment of the child.
Emergency Care
Emergency stays are only available to children and young people who have already been assessed as eligible for respite care at Ryegate House. For more information, please read the NHS page for Ryegate House.
